European Directive 2009/128/EC establishing a framework for Community action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides ... has been published on November 24, 2009. This directive states that each of the 27 members of the European Union will have to put in place a mandatory inspection of the sprayers. Inspection system will be country specific but based on a common technical protocol. Country specific laws shall be established to achieve objectives stated in this directive.
